Welcome to the 10th Swiss Glaucoma Research Foundation Symposium—a milestone edition that marks the continued evolution of both its format and scientific excellence.

The 2026 symposium presents an expanded full-day program featuring comprehensive scientific sessions alongside new educational initiatives. Highlights include hands-on courses and advanced learning formats designed to complement scientific exchange with practical, interactive training.

We are delighted to welcome an outstanding international and Swiss faculty, with Robert N. Weinreb (USA) delivering the Keynote Lecture. The meeting will be held at the SwissTech Convention Center, Switzerland’s leading convention venue.

The Venue: SwissTech Convention Center

The Symposium will take place in the SwissTech Convention Center, an award-winning venue internationally recognized for its outstanding architecture and design, featuring a state-of-the-art auditorium with advanced audiovisual technology, ideal for keynotes, panel discussions, and a sponsored symposium.

The spacious, light-filled foyers support networking, breaks, and exhibitions, while its location on the EPFL campus combines modern elegance, sustainability, accessibility, and an inspiring setting for scientific exchange.

Hands-on Training Program

The program combines wet and dry lab sessions offering intensive, practice-oriented training:
  • Rotational format across supervised hands-on stations
  • Short theoretical introductions combined with practical training using advanced technologies
  • Skills development in ocular imaging, glaucoma procedures, cataract surgery, and intravitreal injections
  • Limited to 24 participants to ensure optimal supervision
  • Registration required during ticket purchase (first-come, first-served basis).

Please submit your free paper abstract and video to info@swissglaucomaresearch.ch before May 1, 2026. Abstract Format: 250 words maximum, structured as Purpose, Methods, Results and Discussion. Video Format: 1 minute length, with English language narration
